The Bath | Hideaway 2

This Hideaway faces South and is nestled on the edge of a native Tasmanian Blackwood forest. A stunning western red cedar gas fired hot tub, styled in the tradition of a Japanese Bath, sits on a private deck overlooking a sweeping valley, with views stretching from East Cloudy Head, across Cloudy Bay, Cape Bruny and beyond to the southern ocean. The Hot Tub is designed for two people reclining or sitting chest deep. It is filled with fresh mountain water and is so simple to use, simply by filling with hot tap water and regulating the temperature with cold tap water. The natural insulating properties of cedar ensure the water stays hot for 1.5 hours before requiring a top up. In the style of “ofuro” it reflects the Japanese saying “Mind Like Water” -  being in harmonious flow with life.

The interior features a split level, open plan living. A mezzanine level provides a sumptuous Queen size bed with reading area. The lounge/dining room plus sofa bed centres around a cosy wood heater and a generous supply of books, contemporary magazines, dvds, cds, and games is provided for your entertainment. The bathroom has a large shower, laundry tub and hand basin, with wall to wall mirror and mountain views. The well equipped kitchen offers a pantry of complimentary goods for your convenience including pasta, rice, oil, teas and freshly ground coffee.

The Hot Tub Hideaway #2 provides peace, privacy and silence yet is only a 5 minute drive to Bruny Island Wine Bar and Grill, 15 minutes to Hotel Bruny and 20 minutes to Pennicott Wilderness Cruises.

There is no minimum nightly stay for Hot Tub Hideaway #2. Nightly rates are from $365 for single night stays and $315 per night for multiple night stays.
